Heidi Gioia RNCP, APN, OGNP
Heidi Gioia has dedicated her entire career to the health maintenance and the improvement of the quality of life for women. She attended Missouri Baptist School of Nursing in the early 1980’s and started her career as a Labor & Delivery RN. After eight years she pursued and completed her goal of becoming a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner by completing The University of Texas Dallas Southwestern Medical School’s Nurse Practitioner Program in 1988.
She has been in practice here at Mercy OB-GYN since 1988. She feels very privileged to have been part of so many patients lives, some from their very first experience at an OB-GYN office through to seeing their children born. It is wonderful to have so many family members- mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, grandmothers-all seen here at our offices.
Kathy Powers RDMS
Kathy Powers joined our practice in February 1986 to expand the office’s ability to offer Ultrasound Services to our patients. She has been practicing in the field of Ultrasound since 1979. Kathy has been continuously credentialed member of the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers since 1981. She is a member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
Kathy’s passion is with the advancing 4-D/3-D technology. Kathy has had the opportunity to enjoy longevity of being with Mercy OBGYN long enough to watch her “Ultrasound Babies” grow to full adults. Her favorite moments come from the joy of introducing new parents to the beauty of their developing baby.
Kathy is the mother of three “mostly” grown children. She enjoys visiting her children at college and traveling with her husband.
